Ronnie Jackson, who is currently serving as Beauregard Parish's District 4B police juror, has received the endorsement of RED PAC, a group that seeks to elect conservatives at the local level. RED PAC has chosen to endorse Jackson's re-election bid based on what they say are his commitments to conserve private property rights, champion government transparency, uphold fiscal discipline and advocate for rural economic development.

Beauregard Parish is holding elections on Oct. 14, according to the Louisiana Secretary of State's Office. This includes the police jury board elections, which will elect police jurors for 10 districts. Jackson, a Republican, will be seeking re-election in District 4B. Police jurors serve four-year terms.

Jackson, a native of Beauregard Parish, is currently serving his first term on the Beauregard Parish Police Jury Board.

In the release announcing the endorsements of Jackson and other candidates across the state, Kevin Gardner, executive director of RED PAC, said "These individuals represent the very essence of conservative values. Their commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility and local development will undoubtedly serve their communities well. We at RED PAC are proud to support them and encourage voters to recognize their potential in the upcoming elections.”

The police jury board functions as both a legislative and administrative body for the parish. The board is responsible for, among other things, enacting ordinances, setting policy, preparing the budget and deciding how money is spent.

Jackson is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. Jackson has served the community in a variety of roles and began service for the parish as a Road Foreman. Jackson also served as a member of Beauregard Fire District #2 and a Chief of the Broadlands Fire Station, according to the Beauregard Parish website. Jackson additionally serves on the Beauregard parish Farm Bureau Board and is a 30+ year member of the American Legion Post 27 in DeRidder, Louisiana.
