City of Lake Charles Teams up with the US Coast Guard for Wind, Waves and Wheels

The City of Lake Charles has announced a partnership with the US Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Lake Charles for an upcoming event titled Wind, Waves and Wheels. Scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 2024, the event will be held at Veterans Memorial Park on Lakeshore Drive from 10 am to 2 pm.

According to the City of Lake Charles, Wind, Waves and Wheels is described as a Partners in Parks event that promises to be a fun and educational experience for the whole family. Attendees will have the opportunity to "learn more about the US Coast Guard while exploring the many tools this branch of service uses in the service and protection of our nation."

The event will include a range of activities such as a MH-65 helicopter demonstration, small boat tours, K9 teams, career Q&A sessions, photo opportunities, interactive displays, and food trucks. It has been highlighted that US Coast Guard units from various locations across the Gulf Coast will be participating alongside the Lake Charles unit.
