The City of Lake Charles is excited to announce the return of the Art in the Park Series for 2024, a collaboration between the Partners in Parks Initiative and the Imperial Calcasieu Museum Residency at the Museum Program.

According to a statement, "The City of Lake Charles Partners in Parks Initiative and the Imperial Calcasieu Museum Residency at the Museum Program are teaming up to debut the City’s 2024 Art in the Park Series."

The monthly sessions will kick off on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 10 am to noon, at the historic Central School grounds, located at 809 Kirby St. Artists currently in residence at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum will be leading the art instruction, as mentioned by the organizers: "Artists currently in residence at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum will provide art instruction."

To support the creative endeavors of the participants, the City of Lake Charles will be providing art supplies and easels through its Partners in Parks Initiative, as stated: "Art supplies and easels will be provided by the City of Lake Charles through its Partners in Parks Initiative."
